Two days of clothes, a laptop and a pair of shoes in a bag that still fits the overhead locker. Full-length brass zip, reinforced base, detachable shoulder strap.

We measured forty cabin lockers before cutting the pattern. The result is 52 cm long, which is the widest this bag can be and still slide into a regional jet overhead bin. The base is lined with a second layer of leather where the bag meets the ground.

Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, cotton twill lining, solid brass hardware

Wipe with a dry cloth. Twice a year, apply a thin layer of neutral cream with a soft cloth and let it dry away from direct heat. Store the bag stuffed, inside its cotton bag. Water marks fade on their own as the leather dries.
